£80 for Full Membership: 12 months per person.
£140 for Full Joint Membership: 12 months per couple (living at the same address).
£20 for Quarterly Membership (standing order only)
£40 for Student Membership (anyone in full time education)
All Members are entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting and are eligible for election to the Committee.

1. Library cards
1.1 Library cards are issued at the reasonable discretion of the Library in accordance with its application process and requirements.
1.2 Library cards are personal to, and for the exclusive use and benefit of, the member to whom they are issued.
1.3 Library cards remain at all times the property of the Plymouth Proprietary Library.
1.4 Members must advise the Library of any change in their personal details supplied on registration for a Library card.
2. Borrowing books
2.1 Library members can borrow up to ten books at a time, as soon as they receive their Library card.
2.2 Books are issued for 21 days. There are no fines for overdue books.
2.3 Library books must be returned when requested by the Library Manager.
2.4 Library books must be returned when membership expires.
3. Consideration of others
3.1 Readers shall at all times:
treat staff, members and other library users with respect and courtesy;
respect the privacy of others;
behave in a manner so as not to disturb or inconvenience others;
not act in a threatening, disorderly or offensive manner whilst on Library premises.
4. Breach of these terms
4.1 In the event of breach of any of these terms by members, the Library may at its' discretion:
temporarily suspend library cards whilst the breach is investigated;
terminate library cards;
ask members to leave the Library.
