Books

The collection consists of 18,000 volumes ranging from 18th century literature to contemporary fiction and non-fiction. There are also biographies, diaries and letters, travel, maps, and works on local history including Plymouth, Exeter and Dartmoor. The Cottonian Collection, donated by William Cotton III to the Plymouth Proprietary Library in 1853, is currently housed in The Box, Plymouth.
